Are you looking for Tyre Labelling for your vehicle?
When you opt to buy new tyres London for your vehicle, ensure that they feature the EU tyre labels. The transportation law of the UK makes it illegal to drive your car with tyre models that don't have this labelling. Moreover, from 1st May 2021, new and revised rules regarding tyre labelling have been in effect. So, we strongly recommend you be up-to-date with all the newly implemented regulations as a car owner.
At CarFix Garage, we prioritise our customers' driving safety and comfort above everything else. So, we have updated our inventory with tyre models, abiding by these new norms.
What are the revised rules?
- Your car's fuel efficiency is now within the rating scale of A to E. The tyre models rated A have the lowest rolling resistance, offering a decrease in your vehicle's fuel consumption level. Alternatively, tyre products with an E rating have higher rolling resistance, decreasing your vehicle's fuel economy.
- Your car tyre's wet-grip performance is now rated A to E. To elaborate, tyre models rated A offer the most efficient braking performance when driving on dry and wet road surfaces. On the other hand, E rated models are the least efficient in this regard.
An ABC rating system now indicates the noise emission efficiency of your tyre product:
- A refers to tyres with minimum noise emission.
- B symbolises that the tyres produce high external noises.
- Tyre products with a rating of C are banned now.
- Tyre models specifically designed for snow performance now feature a 3PMSF symbol on their label.
- The labels of Nordic winter tyres now have a stalagmite symbol on them.
- A QR code is printed on the tyre models so you can scan to get details from the EU database EPREL.
